Differences and inequalities between men and women determine how individuals respond to changes in water resource management. Understanding gender roles, relationships, and inequalities will help explain the options available and the choices individuals make. Involving both women and men in integrated water resources management initiatives can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of projects.
