The show premiered in 2010 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Broadway, starring Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth in the title roles, and was nominated for two Tony Awards.[1] In 2011 the libretto and songs underwent major changes in preparation for the first North American tour, and since then this version has been the one used in all international productions.[2] The Addams Family was the first production of the show.

The Addams Family said goodbye to Madrid on April 8, 2018 and then embarked on a national tour that began on April 26, 2018 at the Teatro Afundación in Vigo and ended on January 20, 2019 at the Teatro Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria,[14] highlighting a four-month stop at the Teatre Coliseum in Barcelona between October 23, 2018 and February 17, 2019.[15][16] The first North American tour began on April 26, 2018 at the Teatro Afundación in Vigo and ended on January 20, 2019 at the Teatro Pérez Galdós in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The first North American tour kicked off on September 15, 2011 at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts in New Orleans, starring Douglas Sills as Gomez Addams and Sara Gettelfinger as Morticia Addams, and ended on December 30, 2012 at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa. Under the supervision of director Jerry Zaks, the staging introduced major changes from its New York counterpart, most notably a new plot line in the storyline and a completely revised song list. Since then, this version has been the one used in all international stagings.[2] The version of the play has been the one used in all international productions.

The hole show

A spectacular staging, along with a makeup, hair and costumes very well chosen, involve actors who stand out with note. A musical about two hours long, entertaining from beginning to end, among which stand out the roles of veterans Carmen Conesa (Morticia Addams) and Xavi Mirá (Gómez Addams) and the funny performances of Fétido Addams and the grandmother played by Fernando Samper and Meritxel Duró.

A production recently brought from Broadway and adapted by Esteve Ferrer, director of successful plays such as “Toc-Toc” and “Te quiero, eres perfecto, ya te cambiaré” winner of a Max Award. A play created from scratch since they had the rights not only of the staging but also of the show.
